Xolo, a brand owned by mobile-phone vendor Lava, expects to triple revenue to $1 billion by the end of 2016 as it seeks to widen market share by introducing more devices with an enhanced proprietary user interface that will enable customers to make online purchases.
Xolo will invest over Rs 15 crore in 2015 towards the development of its propriety user interface known as Hive, with a focus on improved customer experience, Vishal Sehgal, co-founder and director at Lava International, told ET. The plan, which includes hiring 100 engineers, is aimed at pushing mobile value-added services through Hive.
