Reliance Jio’s President Ralph Steffens Quits

Ralph Steffens, President and COO of FTTX business, of Reliance Jio has resigned from his position and has joined London-based global service provider Truphone as Chief Executive Officer. Steffens’ exit from Reliance Jio follows some recent high-profile exits from the Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom company which is preparing to launch its high-speed broadband services commercially in the country. In 2015, Managing Director Sandeep Das, President-Enterprises Sumit D Chowdhury, and President and CFO, R Srikanth, left Jio.

FTTX is a crucial part of Jio’s telecom business which involves laying lakhs of kilometres of optic fibre to take broadband to subscribers, be is retail or enterprise customers at residences or office buildings, among others. Read more
