Shares of telecom companies were witnessing profit booking after rating agency S&P raised concerns that auction would lead to higher debt.

According to analysts, the bidding by telecom companies were aggressive and spectrum auction will increase debt levels.

The government has mopped up bids worth a massive Rs 86,000 crore at the end of fourth day of ongoing spectrum auction. The bids have crossed the targeted minimum amount of Rs 82,000 crores from the sale of 2G and 3G airwaves. Original post at ET Telecom
