Indian Railways has extended its free Wi-Fi service in 15 railway stations across Mumbai, the railway stations include Churchgate, Dadar (western and central), Bandra, Andheri, Borivli, Byculla, Kurla, Thane, Vashi, Kalyan, Belapur and Panvel-and two termini-Bandra Terminus and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-from where long-distance trains depart.

The high-speed free WiFi service at Mumbai Central station was provided by the railways in association with Google in January and these stations will be covered under the same scheme. “Initially, the idea was to launch it at 10 stations across the country, but following the encouraging feedback, it has been decided to extend it to more stations. All over the country, 400 stations will be connected,” said an official. Read more
