WebRTC developers are facing a challenge in developing hybrid apps tapping into third-party SDK code and compiel it for a “native” app on a supported platform. Hybrid apps cannot access native hardware resources such as webcam and microphones, and are forced to rely on plug-ins which makes it slower than native apps.

Most developers would prefer native apps, since they generally perform faster than hybrid apps.  There’s no dependence upon third-party code or hard-wired protocols and services from a third-party service provider.  Apps will, of course, run faster when compared to those written in hybrid fashion.
