Avaya Teams up with Radwin for Smart City Projects in India

Avaya enters into a partnership with Israel based wireless broadband company, Radwin for smart city projects in India, the two companies will bid for projects as a part of their go-to-market strategy and will work towards offering Wi-Fi connectivity through a telecom service provider for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s prestigious Smart City program.

“We have learnt a lot from India. No single vendor can build a Smart City and it requires ecosystem-based approach,” the company’s spoke person said. Out of the total 100 proposed Smart Cities, the Urban and Development Ministry has recently finalized 20 cities for the mega initiative and is investing Rs 50,802 crore over a period of five years through a public-private-partnership (PPP) model.
